Artist Bio

Kampala Children’s Centre (KCC) was established in 2005 to give a home and a voice to vulnerable children in Uganda affected by poverty, disease and the legacy of war. KCC not only provides a loving family home but also excellent education, training, access to healthcare and support as the children grow and develop into adulthood. It’s desire is to see broken lives restored, given a new hope and a new start.

Through sponsorship, the Centre also looks after children in the community with many educated on-site. Employment in the local area has risen through staffing and the continual development of the site. Currently there is a kindergarten and primary school, clinic, farm, workshop and offices with a secondary school under construction, There are also 10 children’s homes with a plan to build many more.

The start of Destiny Africa…

The children of KCC began to sing with their house mothers and with the support and encouragement from Arnold Muwonge (KCC Founder) it naturally progressed into the choir’s beginnings in 2007.

Amazingly, since 2008, Destiny Africa Children’s Choir have travelled throughout the UK, Belgium and USA performing in schools churches and theatres. Their performances capture brilliantly the joy, creativity, story and dreams of these young lives. Working with artists in Uganda their shows include, drumming, singing, dance, drama, video, testimony and more with many ideas originating from the children themselves.

Destiny Africa has become a voice for millions of suffering children in Africa. A message that brings healing, joy and hope to desperate situations. Through their music and art, they have impacted church leaders, politicians, business’s and continue to inspire other children through their story.
