Americana / Roots Rock
Joshua Davis

NBC’s “The Voice” finalist Joshua Davis had a great thing going long before he introduced the world to his mix of gritty rock, old soul, ragtime blues and sweet jazz. Before joining Maroon 5’s Adam Levine’s team, Joshua was touring all over the country, playing concert halls, old theatres, festivals, clubs, dives, classrooms and parks. Not wasting any time, Joshua is back on the road and coming to our Hartford stage to make his Infinity Hall debut.

Artist Bio

This year has been like a dream for Joshua Davis. From February through May,
the Michigan singer-songwriter, best known in Lansing as a member of
Steppin' In It, lived between Traverse City and Los Angeles, appearing each
week on NBC's "The Voice." He bonded with Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine, his
coach on the show. He performed with Sheryl Crow. After making it all the
way to the show's finale, landing at No. 3 overall, Joshua Davis is back
where he feels most comfortable – the road. The national spotlight has
definitely raised Davis’ profile, but his music remains as true and as
earnest as when he started playing live over a decade and a half ago.

"I'm so excited to get back to the East Coast,” Joshua said. “It's been
quite a few years since I've been out there and this will be the first time
since “The Voice”. I’m looking forward to reconnecting with longtime friends
and meeting new fans. It'll probably be a cold and snowy trip, but it's
worth it to say thanks to all of the folks that have supported my career."
Performing in front of new fans at new venues, Davis is starting off 2016
with a New England tour.

Joshua Davis is a singer-songwriter raised in the folk tradition writing
songs that blend the roots of American music with gritty rock n' roll and
vintage soul.  No newcomer, for over 15 years Joshua has made his living
sharing his songs, stories and knowledge across the US and Canada at
festivals, concert halls and coffeehouses. Dubbed, "the Michigan version of
the Great American Songscape" (Chris Reitz, Elderly Instruments), his
catalog is a seamless snapshot of American past and present.
