Last Fair Deal with Special Guest The Meadows Brothers

Last Fair Deal's eclecticism is matched only by the band's virtuoso musical skills and unbounded creativity. This renowned Connecticut band redraws the map of American roots music, tapping a deep reservoir of folk music, old time mountain music, swing, jug band, bluegrass, rock, and other roots styles. They feature their own original songs as well as imprinting their unique style on music from artists as diverse as Bill Monroe, Lennon & McCartney, Bob Dylan and Nat King Cole.

Last Fair Deal's stellar musicians have shared the stage with the likes of John Hartford, Doc Watson, Jonathan Edwards, Aztec Two-Step, and Stephane Grappelli and have performed up and down the Northeast including such festivals as Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pa., Falcon Ridge in Hillsdale, N.Y., and the Connecticut Folk Festival in New Haven. They've recorded four albums, the latest entitled "True Tales" featuring 12 original and three re-grooved traditional tunes.

Ian and Dustin Meadows, ages 21 and 19, have been making music together for most of their lives. In 2011, they made the decision to leave the band they were playing in, and strike out on their own as a duo. Their distinct brand of roots music draws inspiration from a myriad of influences; combining Folk, Blues, Country, and Rock n’ roll into what The Boston Globe calls “An engagingly twangy sibling sound all their own.”

Their original songs; which are typically written together, have been lauded for their emotive, relatable lyrics and memorable hooks.

In 2015 the brothers received the “Best in State: Connecticut” Award at the New England Music Awards, and keep themselves busy with a touring regimen that has landed them up and down the East Coast, out to the Midwest and Great Lakes regions, and of course their beloved home of New England.

“The Meadows Brothers prove that a family bond makes for great music.”
-Daytrotter

“There is so much emotion in the way these two play together. You can’t not like these guys. Everything about them is genuine and honest.” – Red Line Roots

“Ian and Dustin Meadows are jack-of-all-trades instrumentalists who have come together to create a truly amazing musical experience. Oh, did we mention they are barely old enough to drink?” – Chip McCabe, Lonesome Noise
