Artist Bio

The Nice Ones are an American progressive rock group formed in 2011 by vocalist and guitarist Patrick Surdam, guitarist Sam McGarrity, bassist Dillon Morrison Halas, and drummer Tyler Beaujon in the northeast town of Kent, Connecticut. While constantly developing in sound, The Nice Ones comprise elements of rock, soul, blues, funk, and jazz but employ influences from all over the musical spectrum.

Recently, in 2016, Sarah was named one of 5 Finalists out of 14,000 in the Guitar Center Singer/Songwriter Competition and spent that time competing at the legendary Troubadour in West Hollywood, CA.

Sarah has had the pleasure of performing with acts such as The Voice’s Melanie Martinez, American Idol Winner Nick Fradiani, American Idol’s Haley Reinhart, Dancing with the Star’s Mark Ballas’ duo – Alexander Jean, The Voice’s Christina Grimmie, American Idol’s Sam Woolf, Us The Duo, American Idol’s Kris Allen, and Daniel Seavey, along with America’s Got Talent’s Miguel Dakota, national recording artist Teddy Geiger, American Idol’s Robbie Rosen, and many more well-known social media stars. She has released her very first self-titled EP, which is available on iTunes and is currently touring nationally.

Sarah began singing at a very young age and wrote her first song at the age of thirteen. She knew that she loved music and continued to write, but it was only until early January 2013 that she decided she wanted to further her involvement in music.

In 2014, Sarah went on to win the title of The New England Music Award’s “Best New Act of the Year”, was then nominated for, “Best Female Performer of the Year” in 2015.

As her career continues to grow, so does she, musically and lyrically and is currently working on new music to light the souls of her fans, family, friends, and people across the globe.
