Artist Bio

OnCue, a Connecticut native/Brooklyn based Hip-Hop artist, is known for his unique genre blending style and his ability to mix thoughtful lyrics with catchy, melodic beats and vocal stylings.

It was precisely these qualities that caught the eye of legendary producer Just Blaze.  The two instantly clicked and began a collaboration which resulted in OnCue's latest album, Angry Young Man.  Entitled after the famous Billy Joel song, Angry Young Man details exactly what Joel intended - the story of a working class kid trying to make it no matter what; the underdog who never gives up. Personal stories of a broken home, drug addiction, and the trials and tribulations
of growing up are recurring themes throughout the 12 song set.

His fans’ connection to the OnCue experience was reflected in the song, “Home”, a tribute to the victims of the Sandy Hook tragedy which hit #67 on the iTunes chart. In September 2011, competing against four other up rising artists, OnCue's "Feel Tall" video won MTVU's Freshman of the Week slot, by a margin of 50% of all viewer votes. In the July 14th issue of Billboard Magazine, he was named as one of their "Top Ten Emerging Artists".

The combination of his honest, true-to-life artistry and his passion and dedication to his craft delivers all of the makings of a rising star with the potential to be an icon for an entire generation of young people who are growing up in the same conditions he did. Stay tuned!
