Artist Bio

Gracie Day is currently nominated as 2018's "Female Performer of the Year" and "Best in State - CT" by the New England Music Awards, an organization that acknowledges independent, original acts across all six states. After releasing her first EP in November of 2017 and winning "Best New Act" at NEMA, Day is quickly getting noticed for her songwriting, singing and performances. She was a semi-finalist in the international Unsigned Only Songwriting Contest, and was selected for a showcase at the prestigious Durango Songwriter's Expo, a convention for professional songwriters and industry pros. Day travels back and forth from Nashville while recording her new songs at the famous Sound Emporium where everyone from Johnny Cash to Alabama Shakes has recorded. Gracie Day's latest single, "Tennessee" is steadily climbing on Spotify, gaining thousands of plays.

Previously based in Hartford, and now in Central Massachusetts, Day was named “Best Folk Band” in CTNow’s Best of Hartford Reader’s Poll for 2017. The genre “Folk”, though a large influence on Day’s lyric writing, doesn’t quite describe the mixture of rock, soul and country in her sound. Gracie Day is now working with a new line-up and playing larger stages all over New England, with plans to tour further next year. With Joel Rines on bass, Brooks Milage on keys and Duncan Arsenault on drums, Gracie's earnest voice and heartfelt storytelling cuts through a landscape of dynamic sound and thoughtful arrangement. Gracie Day is currently releasing singles while working on her first full-length album. Meanwhile, make sure you catch a performance on a stage near you.

The CarLeans

The CarLeans are a musical collaboration between award winning singer-songwriters Jim Carpenter (guitar, vocals) and Sarah MacLean (guitar, vocals).  Along with Corina Malbaurn (vocals, bass) the Connecticut-based trio blends their diverse musical backgrounds to create a captivating sound that had been drawing much attention.

Steeped in passion for story telling and navigating the human experience, their original songs are raw and powerful — paired with a delivery and live performance that's honest and marked by well-placed musicianship and vocal presence. Their vast and eclectic original repertoire is rooted in Americana/Folk music, but extends through Country/Pop/Blues/Cajun . . . to include humorous material and a driving acoustic sound that often inspires the audience to its feet to dance.

Em Betts

Em Betts Bio: Em Betts is a solo artist from Hartford who has been surrounded by the love of music for her whole life. Her musical and personal influences span everything from alternative and pop punk bands like Jimmy Eat World and My Chemical Romance to singer-songwriters like Samantha Crain and Brandi Carlile.

Meridith Rose

Meredith Rose Bio:  “Meredith Rose is a singer/songwriter on the rise living in Connecticut, however, she was born and raised in New York. After earning her first guitar at the age of 8 by playing Led Zep's 'Over The Hills and Far Away' for her dad, Rose has been writing, performing, and recording nonstop. With her tender vocals and guitar-centric soundscapes, Meredith Rose is best described as an Americana Pop singer/songwriter. Her vivid storytelling has captured audiences across the Northeast from prestigious venues such as Pianos and Leftfield in New York City, The Singer/Songwriter Festival in Cape May, even the highly sought after stage at the Bluebird Café in Nashville, and many more. When she performs live, Rose has the undeniable ability to bring the listener on a journey through her stories, only enhancing the story with glimmering guitar work and creative arrangements. Her recently released debut EP Sow, is comprised of four songs lushly produced by multi-Emmy award winner Jim Chap delaine. The tracks on Sow were adeptly described by Nutmeg Chatter news with: “The crescendo of “Let Me”, the backing tracks of “The End”, the happiness found in the beats of “Free” and “I Will Fall” never eclipse the strongest element of the album which is Meredith Rose’s vocals and point of view.”

“With each foot-tapping hook and each longing vocalization, Rose sinks her musical talons right into the very soul of what a pop song can and should be.” – Chip McCabe, Lonesome Noise
