Bickram Ghosh's DRUMS OF INDIA
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The tradition of drumming in India is one of the oldest and most evolved in the world. The sheer diversity of instruments in terms of tone and technique is breathtaking . The mastery over each drum requires years of training and rigorous practice . It has been my mission in life to showcase to the world the incredible power of Indian drumming. The great Pandit Ravi Shankar did much to showcase the cast repertoire of Indian drumming to the west. My own vistas expanded immeasurably through the honor of accompanying him for a decade.
With the Drums of India I bring you a concert which is bound to leave you spellbound . Each artist in this show is a virtuoso drummer and the combined effect of their drumming is a sound not to be missed!
