02/06/10 • Emerging Stars; An Acoustic Evening featuring: Jim Boggia, Seth Glier and Glenn Roth • 08:00 PM
You have probably seen these artists open for some of your favorite acts @ Infinity Hall! Acts such as Sarah Borges and The Broken Singles, Livingston Taylor, and Kenny Rankin (opening night). We were so amazed by their talent and originality that we are having them back for ONE BIG SHOW!!
Jim Boggia has gained impressive career momentum in a short amount of time. Blackberry selected one of his tracks for a new ad campaign and his songs have also been featured on MTV’s Real World and ABC-TV’s Men In Trees. He’s developed a loyal grass-roots fan base for his dynamic, improvisational live shows. With Misadventures, Boggia shows a career artist at the peak of his creative power, a self-proclaimed “music geek” for whom making music is as effortless as breathing. In a perfect world, everyone will be hearing more about Jim Boggia.
Seth Glier’s impressive growth as an artist is apparent from the very first opening chords of the latest album’s title track. With honesty as his weapon, Glier fires lyrics that draw you in right before a sudden burst of sound, where his enrapturing voice calmly commands over sweeping orchestral strings.
Glenn Roth has spent the past several years perfecting his innovative fingerstyle guitar technique which has become familar to many Connecticut and New York residents through his frequent performances. Glenn's guitar performances evoke many emotions from listeners with a style that's both aggressive and vibrant, yet beautiful and melodic.
In addition to performing solo, Glenn has supported many national acts including Don Ross, Tuck and Patti, Monte Montgomery, and Vicki Genfan. Among his accomplishments, Roth was chosen to represent the GAP in a recent national advertising campaign, and his music has been utilized in several indie films and nonprofit videos, and has been a featured performer on national public radio WNPR. Glenn has released two CD's: "Innovations" and "Busker" and continues to tour the northeast, concentrating in the CT and New York regions as a lifetime member of MUNY (Musicians Under New York).
