A magical night of Irish music to benefit the Norfolk Library and celebrate St. Patrick!!
Cara all began in 2003, rooted in Irish and Scottish traditional music, but with ambitions to create a new and unique sound. Much has happened since the release of their debut album "In Colour" in 2004!
The band weaves flute, guitar, piano, fiddle, pipes, and concertina together with the brilliant vocals, working the Irish music with just a touch of the German folk influence to keep a different perspective on the music. Add special guest, Rolf Wagels, rated one of the best bodhran players in Europe, and you have a five piece band that even folks with the most cultured of palates for Irish music will find most remarkable.
Cara has been touring their home country of Germany extensively and has made festival appearances and played concerts in France, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, UK and even in Ireland, and never failed to inspire their audience. This will be Cara's 6th tour of the United States. They have wowed audiences at our biggest Irish festivals such as Milwaukee Irish Fest, Kansas City Irish Fest, Celtic Fest Chicago, Irish 2000 in Albany and ICONS in Boston.
