Artist Bio

For more than 20 years, Toronto’s Enter The Haggis has been bringing a rock edge to contemporary celtic music by effortlessly melding bagpipes and fiddles with classic rock n’ roll instrumentation and AAA-friendly vocals. It all comes together to make this 5-piece unit a favorite of the festival circuit (Milwaukee Irish Festival & Dublin Irish Festival among many others,) the morning show circuit (Live with Regis and Kelly and A&E’s Breakfast With The Arts) and the 10s of thousands of fans, the self-described “Haggis Heads,” who have purchased their records, donated more than $150,000 to finance 3 albums, and made their most recent effort debut at #9 on the Billboard Heatseakers chart. It should be of no surprise then that Enter The Haggis has become a critical favorite, receiving praise from The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post and Canada’s Globe and Mail.

Pigeon Kings

Connect with this artist:

With a lifetime of touring and performance experience between them, musicians Josef Crosby, (founding former member and co frontman of Scythian), and Victor Gagnon, (a highly sought after Nashville studio musician and former fiddler of the Celtic Rock band 7 Nations), have joined forces to create something new – a sound that’s hard to define but comes from deep roots and deep soul.
During his stint with Scythian, Josef headlined some of the top Americana music festivals, including MerleFest, SummerFest, Wakarusa, DelFest, Wintergrass and Bristol Rhythm and Roots. He has been greeted by crowds of 10,000 at the biggest Celtic music festivals in the country, and played for Popes, Presidents and Prime Ministers.
Pigeon Kings deftly balance elements of Americana, Celtic, Contemporary Singer Songwriter and Rock into a hybrid uniquely their own. And while all very serious players, it’s also a band who learned early the value of showmanship and energy both of which they gladly bring to their live show.
