Hartford celebrates the 50th Anniversary of Joe Cocker’s groundbreaking 1970 live album and tour, MAD DOGS & ENGLISHMEN starring soul sensation REMEMBER JONES and a 20-piece band. Serving as a dedication to Joe Cocker and Leon Russell, the show will be recreated with the exact 20-piece personnel from the original tour including a full choir, two drum kits, horn section, piano, Hammond B3, two guitars, and more surprises.

This event will include all songs from the entire tour beyond those on the original album release, with interpretations of songs by rock and soul greats including The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Leonard Cohen, Traffic, Leon Russell, and more. Songs from the original tour include: “With a Little Help from My Friends,’ “Give Peace a Chance,” “Let It Be,” “Feelin’ Alright,” “Honky Tonk Women,” “Cry Me a River,” “Delta Lady”, "The Letter", and many other favorites.

Taking on lead vocals is national soul sensation Remember Jones, a notorious and bombastic vocalist and persona, called "fiercely passionate frontman... one for the ages..." by Live for Live Music, "...uncanny magic... remarkable vocalist..." by POPDOSE, "powerhouse soul singer" by American Songwriter Magazine, "New Jersey's most ambitious song interpreter" by NJ Arts, and "truly captivates audiences every time he performs" by BroadwayWorld. He has shared the stage with Darlene Love, Ronnie Spector, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Nigel Hall, Robert Randolph, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, and more. His first released debut album, Ladies and Gentlemen, Remember Jones!, featuring members of his touring show band, was recorded with a 25-piece soul orchestra in front of a live studio audience that raised $19,000 in it's funding and a 2017 release “Tranquilizer!” produced by Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes) in Nashville, TN. Remember Jones and his collaborative band have a stronghold on Asbury Park, NJ's thriving music community and continue to tour the US to great acclaim.
