Artist Bio

Dicey Riley is one of the preeminent Celtic bands in New England. Dicey is a five piece acoustic/electric Alt-Irish/Celtic Rock band from one of the epicenters of music in New England: Northampton, Massachusetts. The band has been playing their uniquely original style of Celtic music since 1998. The Alt-Irish music Dicey plays is a mixture of traditional Celtic, Americana Roots and Alt-Country music. Dicey’s repertoire includes: Alt-Irish/Celtic Rock arrangements of traditional Celtic songs; originals; covers of contemporary works arranged for their genre; and derivative works which are original songs that are derived, at least in part, from traditional Celtic music. Dicey performs in the largest and most prestigious music venues, festivals and clubs in New England and New York and they have played with many of the luminaries of Celtic rock and Traditional Celtic music. Dicey’s performances are clearly Celtic; their shows future both the beautiful and wild nature of traditional Celtic music. Yet, while much their music comes from the Celtic traditions of the past Dicey Riley’s spin on Celtic music is very much contemporary and alive.
