"The Very Best Of Dave Mason” - Live

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dave Mason has been performing live shows for more than 50 years. Music is Dave's passion and desire, and 2018 marks a new year in his musical journey. With that in mind, he has prepared a new live show entitled, “The Very Best Of Dave Mason”, which promises to live up to its title. 

This new, live show will enhance the popular 2017 Public Television filmed live concert and feature some of Dave’s most beloved songs like "All Along The Watchtower”, "Only You Know and I Know," "Every Woman", and "We Just Disagree" plus the rock anthem “Feelin’ Alright”.  The audience will also delight in some deeper tracks from Dave’s albums as well as some of his most favorite songs that have shaped his illustrious career. In addition, Dave will share photos and first hand accounts of rock stories that can only be told by the man who has walked in his shoes.

Best known for his soulful voice and unsurpassed guitar playing, Dave was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of the group Traffic, and continues performing as a solo artist with sold-out shows all over the world. His career spans several important rock eras, and encompasses his work as a producer, performer, songwriter, and consummate guitarist. A quintessential ‘Artiste’, Dave has collaborated with numerous members of the music elite, including Jimi Hendrix, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Eric Clapton, among many others.

There are only a limited number of these made available for each show.

Included in the package are personal pictures with Dave, an exclusive VIP laminate/Backstage Pass, 8x10 color photo or a tour booklet plus a merchandise item (array of items will vary depending on availability). This VIP package is an add-on experience for ticket holders. It does not include a ticket for the show. Please be sure to purchase your concert tickets either from the venue box office or via their website.  In order to provide fans with the best possible experience, a VIP Experience with Dave must be purchased 48 hours prior to the show.

Artist Bio

The English singer-songwriter and guitarist from Worcester, first found fame with the rock band Traffic. Over his career, Mason has played, recorded and/or performed with many well known and notable musicians, including Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Eric Clapton, the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Michael Jackson, Steve Winwood, Fleetwood Mac, Leon Russell, Delaney Bramlett, Cass Elliot and, most recently, Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, among others.

Mason was most recently one of the featured performers at the ‘Tribute to Joe Cocker / Mad Dogs and Englishmen’ event, curated and organized by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi (featuring the ‘Tedeschi Trucks Band’ and former members of the original “Mad Dogs & Englishmen’ tour), which was produced for and staged at the 2015 Lockn’ Music Festival, in Arrington, Va.

One of Mason’s most well known songs is “Feelin’ Alright”, recorded by Traffic in 1968 and later by many other performers, including Joe Cocker, who had a major hit with the song in 1969.  Mason also wrote “Hole In My Shoe, for Traffic, which became a hit in its own right and he recorded “We Just Disagree”, his 1977 solo US hit written by Jim Krueger, which has become a US radio playlist classic.

In 2004, Mason was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a founding member of Traffic.

Gretchen Rhodes

Gretchen Rhodes has been singing for her entire life. The daughter of parents who both have their Masters in music, Gretchen grew up classically trained. Most of Rhodes' adult life she has fronted Rock and Blues bands. Gretchen has been a part of Mick Fleetwood’s Band for the last 12 years. Within that time the singer/songwriter has shared the stage with the likes of Pat Simmons, George Clinton and legendary musician Steven Tyler to name a few. Gretchen was featured on the song "Happy on the Hey Now" with Kenny Chesney on Chesney's album "Life on a Rock" which she performed with him for a sold out 65,000 person show at Patriots Stadium in Boston. She also starred in Chesney's "Wild Child" video which has been viewed over 11 million times.

Rhodes has a side electronica project with the Embassy of Joy. Embassy of Joy produced a track called "Addiction"; a remake of Jane’s Addiction’s “Jane Says” which was the #1 Deep House track in the world for three months.
