Vilray (vill-ree) is a composer and performer from Brooklyn. He sings and plays guitar in NYC and around the world.
He sings, whistles, and plays guitar with a sound that recalls both the warmth of radio's golden age and the intimacy of parlor concerts in a time before recordings. He performs forgotten gems of the big band era and original music could be mistaken for old jazz standards.

Vilray (vill-ree) is a composer and performer from Brooklyn. He sings and plays guitar in NYC and around the world.
With the release of his album 7 Singles in 2017, Vilray's unique take on the Tin Pan Alley style has earned wider acclaim. These original songs inspired by the Great American Songbook were recorded live and lathe-cut to vinyl in real time -- lending them a haunting warmth and authentic crackle.
His duo with Rachael Price (of Lake Street Dive) is called Rachael & Vilray. Their close harmonies sung into a shared microphone turn venues of all sizes into intimate parlor concerts. They've performed at the Newport Folk Festival and Lincoln Center's Appel Room, among other legendary stages.
